The Earth Health Elective
Every Spring quarter UC Carbon Neutrality Initiative Fellows and Human Health and Climate Change host the Earth Health elective. Note: Elective will not be offered for Spring 2020
What: Leaders in climate change discuss the interplay between human health and environmental health and the roles of healthcare professionals in climate change prevention and preparedness.
Why: Understanding the connection between climate and health is essential for all health professionals. Earth Health provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to develop interventions that mitigate the effects of climate change, educate patients about this topic, and advocate for policies supporting environmental justice. You can also learn about the Carbon Neutrality Initiative Fellowship, research opportunities, and and potential student projects!
How: Details for future enrollment to come. This elective is open to all UCSF students.
